MegaFon has joined MobileTeleSystems (MTS) and VimpelCom to become the third official iPhone 3G carrier for Russia. However, although the deal has been confirmed most of the details are still unknown. As of current the iPhone pricing as well as the calling and data plans have not been announced. Its simply been left as “the sales of iPhone in Russia will start this year.” Of course, its nice that the deal has at least been made official.

It seems now the big three Russian carriers all have deals in place, as of now we are just awaiting sales to begin. Once that happens we can see just how accurate they were in terms of expected sales, if you remember Apple is expecting to sell 3.5 million iPhone 3G’s over the course of two years.
