NextWorth offering cash, gift cards for your original iPhone

Still looking to get rid of your original iPhone and not having much luck with buyers on eBay or Craigslist? Similar to the previously mentioned FreeiPhoneSwap, here is another service that will make the sale quicker and easier. Of course that means you end up not getting as much money, but sometimes its easier than dealing with potential and/or fraudulent buyers.

The latest offer is coming from NextWorth, and again I have not used them personally so be forewarned. They seem to be offering less money than the FreeiPhoneSwap site and certainly less than you could get on the auction market, but you may also get to keep some of the accessories. A quick price check shows that an 8GB model with “normal wear” and all the in-box accessories will get me $181.10, however if I choose to keep those accessories, my sale price would drop down only $11 to $170.10.

Personally for the $11, I would opt to keep the USB cable, headphones and power adapter just to have if mine was ever lost or broken. The nice catch here is that instead of just offering cash, while always nice, is that they are also offering gift cards for select Circuit City locations as well as J&R and Tweeter.

Of course, it also seems as if they are in turn reselling those iPhones, a quick check of The Great iPod Exchange, which is “powered by NextWorth” is offering iPhone (and iPod) sales. Sad, because that same 8GB iPhone in “good condition” is now selling for $339.99, looks like a pretty nice profit. Of course, bottom line is that they are still making your sale quick and easy, so I guess they deserve a profit in the resale.
