Thanks to a recently announced partnership Nine Inch Nails fans will be seeing a premium version of Tap Tap Revenge. The game is scheduled to be released sometime in October and is set to include more than twelve NIN songs from the previous two albums along with a new NIN themed appearance. As of now an exact release date, or any pricing information has not yet been announced. However Trent Reznor has stated to “check the iPhone app store in the coming days,” which would lead one to believe that it should be available sometime sooner than later.
In addition, and aside from being good news for Nine Inch Nails fans this does also mark the first time that licensed content is being included in an iPhone application. Assuming that sales (or downloads) of this premium version go well, this could mark a new wave of officially licensed content from other bands and companies.
