Apple is reported to have begun seeding iPhone 2.2 beta 2 to developers, and as a nice addition it is coming along with the updated NDA. Developers are reported to have until 9 PM PST on November 6th to read and accept the new terms.
If you remember back just a few weeks, we saw iPhone 2.2 beta 1 pushed out and that included a few new features such as Google Street View, Japanese Emoji icons and a setting to disable auto-correct. Of course, people will most likely remember the disappointment that came along with that last release — the removal of the Push Notification Service, we can only hope that makes a return with beta 2.
The updated NDA deals pretty specifically with the non-disclosure of any information relating to pre-release software as well as any Apple Events or Paid Content.
You agree that any Apple pre-release software (including related documentation and materials) and any information disclosed by Apple to you in connection with Apple Events or Paid Content (defined below) will be considered and referred to as “Apple Confidential Information”.
We can only hope that some info still makes its way into the public, and it is likely that it will, but due to that updated NDA we may not be getting quite as many details about iPhone 2.2 beta 2.
