Evernote has just rolled out an updated version of their iPhone/iPod touch app. The update brings the current version to 1.4 and includes one new feature that should be very welcomed — offline note support. Of course, this sounds like it may be more welcomed with iPod touch users, but could also be very helpful for iPhone users when they are not connected such as when on an airplane.
The offline note support comes in the form of Favorites. Now, when you are looking at a note you will see a little grey star on the top left, simply tap that star to make that individual note a Favorite and then have offline access.
Users will also be able to easily view their favorites at any time thanks to an additional button along the bottom. Just tap the button labeled Favorites and your info will be available. The updated version is available for free, users can find the update in iTunes by clicking the “Check for Updates” link in the Applications section.
