After reading the title, you’re probably thinking, “wow, did some guy actually run over his iPod Touch on purpose?” Nope, according to a forum post he (spongyiq) made on iPodTouchFans.com,
“I was at a walk, a dirt road, and i bent over and i guess my ipod falls out of my pocket. However, i hadn’t noticed my ipod had fallen until an hour later when my friends call me. They were on a pickup truck which happened to be on the same route i was on; and then… yes, they accidentally run over it.”
While his English may not be the best, we certainly get the point! Amazingly his iPod Touch managed to sustain a fair amount of damage, including a very cracked screen, and a dented back-cases">case, but other than that,
“It worked perfectly, the touch screen, the music, the wifi. Everything was exactly the same, other then the crippled screen and dented back.”
Coincidentally, an iPod Nano had a much similar run in with traffic, only, it ended up resembling a crushing soda can.
While iPods and iPhones may not be the most durable of devices, they are certainly up there!

Not sure I would call this “surviving.”
This phone is going to be on life support for the rest of its life.
