Buried at the bottom of a post about their PwnApple masks, the Dev Team also included a brief warning message to any future iPhone unlockers. Of course, an unlock has not yet been found for the iPhone 3G, but that does not mean it will not be coming in the future.
According to the Dev Team; “Installing ‘2.2’ straight away on the iPhone 3G using the iTunes auto-updater could affect your chances of any software unlock in the near future (should one be found and released), so when you see an update in iTunes await our instructions first!”
Thankfully, it seems a little less of an issue for those who are simply looking to jailbreak, as we have already seen the Dev Team get that under control.
