Google Advanced Voice Search app gets delayed

This news may make some of the “smaller” iPhone app developers smile just a little bit. It seems that not even Google is immune to the delays and troubles that some are seeing when it comes time to have their application approved and entered into the App Store.

Despite the excitement that we saw on Friday over the expected availability of the Advanced Voice Search app — it was delayed. Of course an official reason was not mentioned, so the speculation is running anywhere from some people believing that Google was being given a hard time by Apple, to some believing that the app was just not ready. Personally, judging from how Google seems to release (and keep) just about everything in beta, I am leaning towards the delay being caused by Apple.

Either way, the Advanced Voice Search seems to be an impressive app, and will be on my list to download and play with once available. According to TechCrunch, who “heard from a source with knowledge of the situation” the app is now expected to arrive today (November 17). In the meantime we can still check out the demo video.
