Despite the iPhone firmware 2.2 beta 2 only being available to developers for a short while, the iPhone Dev Team have already gotten their hands on a copy of the firmware and already reported back with some good news. Thanks to a recently posted screenshot, they have announced that beta 2 of firmware 2.2 is still vulnerable to being both jailbroken and also unlocked.
While the final and public release of firmware 2.2 is most likely still a little while away, we can only hope that Apple continues to leave the jailbreaking scene alone and not decide to slip in some new code in a final beta or in the final release.
