NumberKey, yet another app to hit the App Store that makes me wonder. Initially it sounds like it would be a nice benefit for notebook users who need (or want) a numeric keypad, however the lack of physical keys seems like it may leave the user at a slight disadvantage in terms of speed. That said, the app seems to be pretty well thought out.
NumberKey turns your iPhone or iPod touch into an 18 key numeric keypad and communicates with your notebook over a Wi-Fi connection. The user also needs to install the NumberKey Connect software on their notebook, which unfortunately limits this app to those with a Mac, sorry no PC support.
Additionally, NumberKey offers four different skins that will mimic those found on your notebook, you can choose from black, white, silver or a classic style. NumberKey is currently available in the App Store and is selling for just $1.99.
