Joost launches video streaming app for the iPhone

Joost has recently released their iPhone app, which is currently available (for free) in the App Store. Trying not to bring a lot of sarcasm, but this release seems to have served as a reminder that they are still around. That said, the Joost app is offering “more than” 46,000 videos which include everything from music videos, TV and even movies for free. Of course, being able to watch them is a little different story. To begin with the service will not work on the cellular network — it needs a Wi-Fi connection. And even on a decent Wi-Fi connection, the stream was not always quality, I have seen the “Playback Error” message more than a few times already, which hopefully can be attributed to growing pains. Personally, if I were going to hold out, it would be for a Hulu app, but in the meantime it seems that Joost is getting a little bit of a head start. Now lets see what they can do with it.
