Mobile Spy makes your iPhone calls and messages a little less private

Retina-X Studios have announced a new version of Mobile Spy for the iPhone. For those unfamiliar with Mobile Spy, it is a program that runs in “total stealth mode” and keeps track of your calls and SMS messages. This means that unless you have installed it yourself, or were told that it was installed you (as a user) would never know.

As for what it can do, Mobile Spy is able to record all of your incoming and outgoing calls along with any SMS messages. And then once the information is recorded, it is uploaded within seconds to an online account, that can be checked from any web browser. In other words, once the app is initially installed, the person who is doing the tracking would no longer need access to the iPhone.

According to Retina-X, Mobile Spy is good for monitoring your employees or your children. Of course, I am sure it can prove to be useful, but I still cannot help but feel a little weird about such a tool. In addition to the iPhone, Mobile Spy was previously available for Windows Mobile and Symbian based phones.
