PhoneSuit, the guys behind the ClearSuit, announced today that they’re releasing an iPhone battery extender called the Mili, joining the fray against such products as the Mophie Juice Pack and the InCase PowerSlider. They claim to have a longer battery life and definitely offer one thing their competitors don’t; a USB port for charging an external device such as a BlueTooth headset or anything else that is USB powered.
It looks similar to the Juice Pack, but comes in a variety of colors.
It will be available for pre-order starting on the 23rd at www.PhoneSuit.com and should ship in February.

I wonder will this be available for BOTH the 3g as well as the 1st gen iPhone? It’s very disapponting lately seeing some great new items but only being made for the 3g? I had both and personally decided to keep the 1st gen over the 3g and am sure there are enough owners of the original to make it worth these companies developing new items for BOTH phones.

Oops? Sorty, I should have checked the store before posting the 1st comment? This is for both iPhones the original and 3G! I was still thinking of the new sound amplifier that I saw a few days back and was disapponted that it was only for the 3G. Kudos on making this for both!!

Here is a much smaller portable battery pack that is available now and will work with 2G(original) and 3G iPhones and iPods that have a 30 pin connector. Weighs 1.5 oz and is really pocket size.

Which for the 3G iPhone means 3.5hrs talk time, 5hrs video, and 17hrs of music;-)

Actually the FastMac iV website says this about their battery for the iPhone: Another great feature of the iV is the full size USB port that enables you to charge another device such as your Bluetooth headset, digital camera or even another iPhone.
