According to the latest details coming from the early morning hours of Macworld, it looks like TV loving iPhone users will soon have something to cheer about. According to a recent press release, Sling Media will be showing off the SlingPlayer Mobile app for the iPhone. Of course, the official release date has not yet been announced, however the player is expected to be submitted to the App Store for approval and a release hopefully by the end of Q1 2009. Sure its still about three months away, but at least we can know that is officially coming. Personally, this was one that I have been hoping for, the SlingPlayer app was at the top of my wish list back in July, shortly after the opening of the App Store. As of now, the price has “not been determined,” however several other mobile apps from Sling are priced right around $30.
