A French appeals court has upheld the December ruling in the carrier exclusivity case. According to the ruling, Orange will not be able to act as the exclusive carrier, which means that customers will be able to purchase and use an iPhone 3G on any compatible network.
Sounds like bad news for Orange, according to an analyst report, they stand to loss 200 million euros (about $260.7 million) in sales.
Finally, what is sure to have come as bad news for France Telecom sounds like a bit of good news and potential opportunity for Bouygues Telecom as they have begun to speak with Apple in hopes of offering the iPhone 3G.
