The makers of the Pogo Stylus have returned with another simple product that is designed to enhance your iPhone use. The latest is the SoundClip, which is noted as being a “passive sound enhancer” for the iPhone 3G. The SoundClip is a small attachment for your iPhone that helps to better direct the sound from the iPhones built in speaker. According to the website, it will amplify the “audio by 10dB between 6kH and 20kHz” which will result in a “cleaner, more accurate response.”
Honestly, I thought this was a little silly at first glance, after all I cannot think of one person that really expects great sound from the built-in speaker, but at the same time I find myself using it often. However, when watching a video, I have my iPhone turned into landscape mode and I often find myself blocking the speaker with my hand. I think not having that happen may be worth the low $8 price tag.
If you are curious about the sound enhancement, you can head on over to the Ten One website (link below) and check out a few sound clips.
