A brief history of Tap Tap Revenge as told by Nate True

In addition to the recent release of Tap Tap Revenge 2, we are also being treated with a nice lesson on the history of Tap Tap Revenge, which is told by the original developer Nate True.

Originally, Tap Tap began as a jailbroken app before the App Store was available. It first became available in September 2007 and was developed in only “two solid days” on a “pre-SDK jailbroken iPhone.”

In short, the game was made available and quickly became popular among jailbreakers. Nate was eventually hired by what would become Tapulous and continued to develop the game. Of course, there is more to that story, make sure you hit the link below to read the full version.

If you are a fan of the game, or Nate himself then this will be an enjoyable read. Its always nice seeing the early roots of popular apps. Nate even goes on to thank the other team members at Tapulous.

Finally, he added a pretty funny commercial style YouTube video for Tap Tap Revenge. Check it out below…
