Those who use both boxee and the iPhone or iPod touch will most likely want to grab the newly released remote app. The remote app offers two modes for use, either the “Buttons Mode” or the “Gestures Mode” and works over your existing Wi-Fi connection.
The Gestures Mode is similar to a laptop trackpad, you just hold your thumb down and move the boxee logo around in the desired direction. You can also drag it to the edge to navigate long lists and click the logo to perform an action.
The Buttons Mode seems a little more straight forward, just click the arrow for the direction that you need to go, then click OK to make your choice.
Overall, the boxee remote app seems simple, but useful, of course not being a boxee user myself, this one will not be all that valuable for me to download. Given that, if there are any boxee users that test this out, I would love to hear your thoughts, hit up the comments below.
The boxee remote app is currently available as a free download.

Yeah, I’ve been noticing for awhile now that these writers could benefit from an experienced editor.

Yeah, I was going to add comments along the line of what has been posted above, but then I have to remember this is a blog, and not an article from the New York Times. So I don’t know that the writer owes us anything per say, along the lines of logical, informative, and grammatically correct stories, although I think one should always strive to do the best job they can in anyting they take up voluntarily, including blogging.

Sorry for the lack of explanation about what boxee actually is. From the boxee website:
“on a laptop or connected to an HDTV, boxee gives you a true entertainment experience to enjoy your movies, TV shows, music and photos, as well as streaming content from websites like Netflix, CBS, Comedy Central, Last.fm, and flickr.”
You can check it out here: http://boxee.tv/
