Whether you loved it, hated it, or just dealt with it, the Apple Bluetooth headset has seemingly been discontinued. As of now it is unclear as to whether the headset has been discontinued or simply taken out of the store due to problems.
So far nothing official has come from Apple, however the existing product page is currently redirecting to the main Apple Store page. Of course, on the flip side, Apple Insider is reporting that they have “received a couple of unconfirmed tips that suggest Apple may have recently recalled existing inventory of the iPhone Bluetooth Headset for undisclosed reasons.”
While the Apple Bluetooth headset was nice and small, I quickly replaced mine with an original Jawbone and most recently with a new Jawbone. This removal does offer some speculation about the recent A2DP support that will be coming with the iPhone 3.0 software. Could this just be the Apple way of preparing for a new Bluetooth headset?
