Google unveils new Image Search results for the iPhone
March 13, 2009 | Robert Nelson

Google has recently unveiled a new Image Search results page for the iPhone, which now offers up to 20 images on a page. Some of the features that are included is “search-by-style” which lets you base your search on things like faces, clip art, line drawings or photo content.
Additionally, once you perform the search and have your results, you can click on the image of your choice and that will bring you to the details page. From there you can view the image in full size or even visit the website where the image lives.
The new Image Search also allows you to filter your results based on SafeSearch, which lets you choose strict, moderate or off.
Unfortunately, this new results page is only available for users in the US, UK and Japan.
- To begin image search, go to google.com and click on “Images.”
- The results page shows related images. Clicking on an image loads the details page.
- On results page, the “filter” option on the blue bar allows selection of image style and SafeSearch settings.
- The image details page shows a larger thumbnail and links to the original website and image.
