Jailbroken app allows fifth column for iPhone apps

Jailbroken app allows fifth column for iPhone apps

There always seems to be that app that slips by, you know, that one that has been around for a while that you have just now discovered. For me, I have really enjoyed having five icons in my dock for a long time, but just recently began wishing that I could do that with the rest of my apps. Knowing that I am not going to find anything like that in the App Store, I head to Cydia and begin searching.

Thankfully, after a few quick searches I was able to find an app that will allow me to do just that, and it is named Five-Column SpringBoard. Just as the name implies, this app will allow you to have five columns of apps on your iPhone as opposed to the default four columns.

Alternatively, is you are someone who has reached the maximum number of apps and screens, then by enabling that fifth column, you will be able to add some more apps. With Five-Column SpringBoard installed and activated you will be able to have 20 apps on each screen instead of the default 16.

Five-Column SpringBoard is a free app and can be found in Cydia.

Sorry, I guess I should have mentioned that also, since it is so similar. That is done with an app called “5 Icon Dock” and can also be found in Cydia.
