It seems there is a service for just about anything you could think of, and the latest aims to make it easy (and hopefully affordable) for anyone to develop an application for the iPhone. The new website, iPhoneAppQuotes will partner you with up to three iPhone Developers who will discuss your project and let you decide who does the work. Basically, they seem to be making it possible for anyone to develop an app whether you can program or not.
In order to get started, you just have to fill out the “confidential quote form” and then iPhoneAppQuotes will take over. They will send your form out to three developers who will contact you to discuss your project and offer a free quote in return. Seems easy enough.
Just to add a little bit of disclosure, while this site seems reputable, I have not used them personally. In other words, if you submit an idea and then see it hit the App Store shortly after, don’t blame me. Of course, on the flip side, I would love to hear some personal experience if anyone has used them.

Used this service last month. Had 3 developers contact me, worthwhile IMO. Just make sure you have an NDA in place if you are concerned about stealing your idea.
