mophie has returned with yet another Apple related battery extender, this time it is for the 2nd generation iPod touch.

Basically, if you have seen or used the iPhone Juice Pack, then this will be more than familiar. Overall, the design is the very similar, the Juice Pack slides up over the iPod touch to cover the back and sides.

It also has the 4 LED lights on the back to show your current power status, as well as the USB pass through on the bottom that will allow you to charge or sync your touch without removing the Juice Pack. Additionally, this model also has the headphone jack pass though on the bottom next to the USB connection.

As for battery life, the Juice Pack claims to offer up to an additional 42 hours of audio playback and up to an additional 7 hours of video playback.

The 2nd generation iPod touch Juice Pack retails for $99.95 and is currently available.
