I think this is one time when the exterior packaging is just as exciting (if not more so) than the contents on the inside. Anyway, in anticipation of the Dexter game for the iPhone, Speck is going to release a Dexter branded iPhone case.

The cases are hard-shell models and will be available in either red with white lettering or white with red lettering. Basically, these seem like a pretty standard hard-shell iPhone cases, but getting back to the exterior packaging.

They are packaged in a cardboard box and when you open it the case is laying on a bed of foam — a bed of foam that is splattered with blood-like red paint. Slightly gory and pretty neat.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any sales information, I am unsure if these are going to be promotional items or available for purchase.

Additionally, the Dexter game is expected to be available during the Summer of 2009.
