XROAD’s G-Map GPS app pulled from the App Store

Those of you who were still considering the purchase of the G-Map GPS application from XROAD will have to wait a while because it has since disappeared from the App Store.

According to the XROAD website the app was removed and is “being reviewed for improvement and will be back in the App Store soon.” Of course, there is speculation that the app was pulled because it included turn-by-turn directions which is currently a violation of the App Store terms.

Bottom line, even if they have violated the current terms of service, it seems that the rules have since changed by the 3.0 unveiling. Based on that it seems likely that the G-Map application will make a return, but when will be the question.
