Get a free iPhone 3G with Vodafone Australia

Vodafone Australia has recently announced the option to get an iPhone 3G for free. In order to qualify for the free iPhone 3G customers must sign up for the AU$69 (about $50 US) iPhone tariff with a two-year agreement.

“Vodafone is thrilled to be offering iPhone 3G for $0 on the $69 iPhone plan, the first time this has ever been offered in Australia”, said Edward Goff, General Manager of Consumer Markets at Vodafone Australia.

He also went on to say that “there has never been a better time to buy an iPhone,” which I would agree with, however, if a new iPhone is released soon you may not feel that way for long. Of course, even if you do not have the latest iPhone, you can still take some pride in the fact that yours was free.

With price cuts already coming from other global carriers such as O2 and Fido, this just seems to be one more clue that we may indeed be seeing new iPhones come June.
