Rumor has it that a Hulu app for the iPhone is currently under development. According to a report coming from the Silicon Alley Reporter, a “plugged-in industry executive” has told them that a Hulu app is in the works and that it is both “coming soon (within a few months)” and “badass.” Of course, at first though a Hulu app would have to be badass, but I cannot help but think that it will be limited when it hits the App Store. That said, I hope I am wrong on that statement.

At this time, Hulu has yet to comment. Honestly, the rumor of a Hulu app (even without a confirmation from Hulu) is not all that shocking, however I am going to resist getting excited until I see how the final version turns out. I was initially excited by the Joost app, however that has since been removed from my iPhone. Hopefully, and for the Hulu app to be truly welcomed it will have to allow streaming over both a Wi-Fi and a 3G (or EDGE if you are brave) connection.
