It is pretty safe to say that Apple had a change of heart due to all the coverage on this one. Anyway, if you remember back to last Friday we told you how the Eucalyptus book reader was denied approval because it offered users the possibility of downloading “objectionable content.” Of course, in this case the “objectionable content” was the Kama Sutra, which as we know is already available on the iPhone in a variety of other ways.
Thankfully, the developer received a called from an Apple representative without having to wait very long. According to a new post over on blog.montgomerie.net;
“Earlier today I received a phone call from an Apple representative. He was very complimentary about Eucalyptus. We talked about the confusion surrounding its App Store rejections, which I am happy to say is now fully resolved. He invited me to re-build and submit a version of Eucalyptus with no filters for immediate approval, and that full version is now available on the iPhone App Store.”
For those interested, the Eucalyptus app (App Store link) is now available and is selling for $9.99. If nothing else, it is always nice to see a happy ending.
