A recent J.D. Power survey has shown that the iPhone took top honors in terms of customer satisfaction.
“Apple ranks highest in customer satisfaction with smartphone manufacturers,”
The study consisted of input from 2,648 smartphone users that have owned their current phone for less than two years. According to the results, Apple scored a 791 out of a possible 1000 and ranked “among the best” in Overall Satisfaction, Physical Design, Ease of Operation, Features and Operating System. Also, not all that surprising for any iPhone 3G users, Apple only received a two-out-of-five or a rank of “The Rest” in regards to “Battery Aspects.” I would imagine that would be a result of low battery life, and the lack of ability to swap out the battery at home.
A few other tidbits that came from the survey include that smartphone users send and receive an average of 17 emails per day and 82 percent report using the phones address book, contacts and to-do lists to help manage their lives.
Additionally, in regards to cellphone users that have ditched the landline. A total of 40 percent of smartphone users have replaced their landline, while only 28 percent on non-smartphone users have done the same.
