Next-gen iPhone icons found deep in the iPhone SDK

This latest bit is short and sweet. If you remember back, the iPhone SDK revealed an image of the iPhone 3G shortly before it was released last year, and now it seems the same has been found for the next-gen iPhone.

Of course, this years discovery is not quite as exciting as last years. It seems that Apple may have gotten a little smarter and have left the icons the same as the previous. That said, they are clearly labeled “iPhone2,1″ which is just a little further evidence of the new model.

And just in case you are like myself and started to wonder how something like this gets found. In this case, according to the person who posted the details, he was “searching for an un-related file in Spotlight.” I guess that may just be a lucky find.
