Slide To Unlock doormat lets everyone know you are a total geek

The latest home accessory for the geek is the “Slide To Unlock” doormat. I cannot think of a better way, except for one exception, to let potential visitors know your geek status before they even knock on the door. That exception is the “There’s no place like 127.0.0.1″ mat that can be found at ThinkGeek. Of course, this latest shows that you are an iPhone geek, and for that reason alone it may be a little better understood by any non-geek visitors. The Slide To Unlock doormat is made from rubber, measures in at 27.6 x 13.8-inches and is retailing for $50. Of course, if this ends up at a true geeks home, I would like to see it hacked to actually open the door. Sure, its unlikely, but hey, we can dream.

Interesting idea, but at $50, it’s way too expensive. Especially since there’s websites that will make custom doormats from your photos for about $20.
