More and more Twitter is becoming an interesting source of information. Sadly, not all of it is reliable or even good. However this latest bit comes courtesy of Telecom New Zealand who let everyone know that they are currently in negotiations for the 3rd generation iPhone.

“Alan: “We are in negotiations with Apple… we are very focused on the 3rd gen iPhone.. we will keep u updated” #XTLaunch”

As usual, other Twitter users replied back with some questions looking for clarification. Unfortunately, Telecom New Zealand had nothing more to really give.

“Sorry but we cannot comment any further on the status of our discussion.”

What does this mean for us, well, nothing really. In fact all this does is add some further evidence that we are going to see a new iPhone get announced during WWDC. Now we can get back to our regularly scheduled waiting and hoping.
