Beejive IM 3.0 and AOL get updated, now offering support for Push Notifications

It looks like we are finally going to begin receiving those long awaited Push Notifications. Just recently an updated version of BeejiveIM as well as AOL have been added to the App Store.

BeejiveIM can be purchased for $9.99 (App Store link) and has support for Google Talk, Facebook, MySpace, ICQ, Jabber, Yahoo!, MSN/Windows Live as well as AIM.

AIM on the other hand has support for AIM, MobileMe and ICQ, however this one is available in either a low priced $2.99 (App Store link) or free version (App Store link).

Either way, despite not being much on an IM user, I have read that Push Notifications are working very nicely with these apps. Of course, there is one drawback with these alerts.

They are nice in that you can be alerted that you have received a new IM, however in order to reply you are going to have to close out whatever you are currently in. In other words, you can get a message without being interrupted, but you will have to be interrupted in order to reply.

Overall, it seems to me that while Push Notifications are nice, they are far from perfect. Anyway, hit up the App Store to either download the apps or just get the updated versions.
