These past few days, images of what appear to be the new iPhone (16gb) have begun popping up all over the web.
From these “leaked” images, we can see that the backing of the iPhone is matte black and the front does not have any chrome trim whatsoever. Furthermore, there is what appears to be a front-facing camera, perhaps for the rumored video-chatting feature?
With WWDC 09 only a day away, we’ll know very soon whether or not these images are actually of the new iPhone.
Obviously these leaked images have not been corroborated by any official source and may not actually be the next generation iPhone.

Could the front facing camera be the reason apple got two different cameras awhile back! The 3.2mp for the front facing and the 5mp for the back! That would stupendous!!!!

Can’t wait for this, I hate the chrome front lining, looking forward to 32 gb for music, and front facing cameras would make this a bullseye for apple new comers. Now you won’t have to guess where the camera shutter button is!

I like the touch of chrome on the iPhone so I hope these images are fake – if I wanted a rugged phone, I’d use Nextel.

I like the chrome too but look how fast people accepted a full plastic back compared to the 1st gen iPhone (still my favorite as far as quality build) so I’m sure as long as the hype is right on with improvements on the next iPhone that a little strip of chrome will not be missed.

what’s with that year old video to the right of this page? Yes this was great to see when the 3G was finallly released but think it should be taken out with all these “rumors” floatin round? Just one mans opinion of course.
