Thanks to an interview that TUAW did with Andrew and Phil from Evernote — users, or in many cases, those who have come to depend on the app will have something to look forward to in terms on a new release.
While they could not say exactly when the update would be available, they did offer quite a bit of information stating that it would be a major update. As for some of the details, they mentioned that it would “feel a lot faster” and act “more like a real app.”
Otherwise, some other features that we have to look forward to are more options when it comes to exporting notes, sharing and collaboration, more focus on usability, search within audio notes and some improvements to the text editor. Additionally, they are also working on the ability to store video as a captured note.
Unfortunately, some of these features that will be added may not make it to the 3.0 release, but may come a little later. Actually, it was a little unclear when watching the video. Either way though, I look forward to seeing what Evernote 3.0 for the iPhone has to offer and if it is anything like the 1.0 to 2.0 update then it should be a welcomed update.
In the meantime, while we wait for all of the new iPhone goodness that is coming, we can watch a video of the interview.
