IM+ with Push now available in the App Store

We have recently seen updated versions of both Beejive and AOL with Push Notifications hit the App Store, but another option is now available. The latest is IM+ with Push (App Store link), which can be purchased for $9.99.

As far as support, IM+ seems to be pretty full with support for Twitter, Skype Chat, Facebook Chat, Yahoo!, AIM/iChat/MobileMe, MSN/Windows Live, ICQ, MySpaceIM, Jabber and Google Talk.

Additionally, for those who are thinking that the $9.99 price tag is a little on the high side, there is also a free (and ad-supported) version available. The free version is called IM+ Lite 3.0 (App Store link).

Please update your article with the info that IM+ Lite does NOT support push notifications. To make use of Push Notifications, you have to buy Full IM+ for $9.99.

I would rather use Truphone, AIM or TextFree Lite which are free apps and support Push Notifications at no additional charge.

As earthly noted: It is correct that the IM+ Lite version does not have support for Push Notifications, still its a nice alternative to paying $9.99.

Of course, that said there are other free apps that support push notifications. I guess ultimately it would come down to which app you prefer based on the interface and overall experience.

I have this program, bought it for $4.99 some time ago. The push notifications work GREAT Kuddos to the development team for putting this out so quickly..
