iPhone 3GS dropped into pool, doesn’t miss a beat

It was bound to happen sooner or later. The owner of the iPhone in question was daring enough to hold his new iPhone 3GS over the edge of the pool and use its video record feature, I’m sure you can guess what happened next.

The caption of the video reads,

“Was trying video on my new iPhone 3G S at the pool and dropped it in the pool. Don’t know if it’s waterproof, but it still works fine. I had a few people comment on seeing a strap in the video. I have a rubber cover and had put a strap through the earpiece hole to avoid just this type of thing. I didn’t have it on my wrist at the time, but believe me, I will from now on!!!! Maybe the rubber cover helped with it not getting damaged.”

Check out the video itself:

The auto-focus, light adjustment, microphone, and camera all worked after the poor 3GS was retrieved from the pool. Now, whether or not this video is actual video recorded on an iPhone 3GS or not has yet to be determined, if it actually is, this video is definitely a testament to the build quality of the iPhone 3GS!
