Another nice announcement coming from AT&T is in regards to their available Wi-Fi hotspots. It seems that iPhone OS 3.0 will allow you to automatically connect to any of their 20,000 plus available hotspots.
“Auto-authentication allows iPhone users to seamlessly switch from AT&T’s 3G network to an AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spot without being prompted.”
Now you can just begin surfing without having to try and deal with the hassle of logging in. This move is most likely just another way for AT&T to try and ease some strain on their 3G network, but at the same time it will be welcomed.
This new feature will be available beginning today. I guess I may have to hit up a Starbucks at some point, just to give this a test.
