Rumor: AT&T website images appear to confirm Internet tethering, next-gen iphone name

We have just recently received another tip that is highlighting the fact that the next-gen iPhone will be called the iPhone Video. Personally, these shots are a little more believable than the one we posted earlier. Still, I think I like the iPhone Video name.

Nonetheless, this round of images offer further evidence of the iPhone Video name, however they also contain one extra image that should make many people happy, it looks like video conferencing and Internet tethering will also be available.

On the Phone/Device Support page, under the Most Popular topic section there is a note for getting support on “How to Use Video Conferencing (iChat) and on How to Setup Internet Tethering.

Assuming this are accurate, lets just hope that AT&T does not severely overcharge us for the privilege of Internet tethering.

why are pictures like this always blurry? i’m sure it’s fake.

  2. Anthony Says:

I agree with Eli. And how about a screen-shot rather than a blurry photo?

  3. Jawn Says:

The pics are probably taken by a AT&T employee with his/her camera phone and leaked them. That would explain the blur

Exactly how would it be easier to judge the authenticity of a screen shot than of a slightly blurred photo? I would actually go as far as to say that it is the exact opposite. It is a lot easier to change an exact digital image with sharp pixel contours than to edit a digital photo and make it look real. So if this is fake, I expect the actual image on the screen to be fake, which would be just as invisible on a screen shot.

Is this the one that is supposed to come out within the next month? Also, it is hard to tell by the pictures, but how is the size of this new iPhone supposed to be in comparison to the 3G?
