Apple releases iPhone OS 3.1 beta 3, iPhone SDK 3.1 beta 3 to developers

Apple has recently released both iPhone OS 3.1 beta 3 and iPhone SDK 3.1 beta 3 to the development community. This release, which comes just a few short weeks since we saw beta 2 is just another stepping stone on the way to the official public release of iPhone OS 3.1.

One important item to point out in regards to the OS 3.1 beta 3 release comes in the form of the expiration surrounding OS 3.1 beta 2. Those who are currently running OS 3.1 beta 2 will have to react and upgrade quickly because it is set to expire as of July 28, 2009 at 12am local time.

So far, it looks like iPhone OS 3.1 beta 3 will now allow you to copy and paste videos into an email and according to WhenWillApple, those videos being sent by email are going to be limited to 15MB in size.

Additionally, beta 3 has also added separate listing for “Cellular Network Data” and “Tethering Data” which could lead one to believe that AT&T is readying their tethering offer.
