So, aside from the fact that I had planned to run this as a weekly column and then missed several weeks, I am going to hit the reset button and begin again with Apps To Waste Your Weekend #02.
So, without anything further, I bring you The Holiday Edition which as you can imagine will be focusing on fireworks, more specifically, firework apps for your iPhone.
After a quick search for none other than “fireworks” in the App Store, I can honestly say that I was surprised not only in the amount of available apps, but also due to the fact that most were not free.
That said, here are a few that caught my attention.
- July 4th – Independence Day – Fireworks (priced at $0.99) (App Store link)
- Fireworks (priced at $0.99) (App Store link)
- iLoveFireworks (priced at $0.99) (App Store link)
- iLoveFireworks Lite (free) (App Store link)
Then we have one that does more than just show fireworks, it also tells you how they are made as well as how the colors are produced and the special effects are created. It is appropriately titled All About Fireworks (App Store link) and sells for (you guessed it) $0.99.
Finally, I have tossed in one more for good measure. Why, no real reason other than I liked the name and it was also available for free. The app is called Fireworks Show (App Store link) and lets you watch a ready-made show or create your own.
Well, hopefully this will put the last of the missed Apps To Waste Your Weekend columns behind us, which means you can look forward to #03 hitting the site next Saturday. In the meantime, enjoy your weekend, and if you are partaking in the fun, make sure you play safe. In other words, fireworks are meant to be pointed at the sky and not at your friends, because no matter how much fun it sounds like, a roman candle or bottle rocket will hurt when you get hit. And yes, I speak from experience.
