AT&T is once again offering a nice discount on refurbished iPhones. Now before you read the title and get super excited — please not the apostrophe between the G and the s because this price is for the 3G and not the 3GS.
Of course, slightly older model aside, this is still a pretty nice offer. According to the AT&T website, they have the 8GB model available in black and the 16GB model available in black or white. As for pricing, the 8GB is $79.00 and the 16GB model is $129.00, both of which come after a $20 “refurb discount.”
Finally, for those that worry about refurnished items, while I cannot say that they will always be 100% problem free, I will say that I have purchased an AT&T refurbished item before. In my case, it was a Blackberry Bold (for my wife) and the phone looked like new, that is aside from the different packing that it was shipped in.
The one big difference between buying new and refurbished is the warranty. Refurbished items only come with a 90 warranty. Otherwise, they seem to be a pretty solid deal.

It may seem silly, but you need to always stipulate prices that require a contract vs. those that don’t.
