This is far from the first we are seeing in regards to the iPod touch getting a camera, in fact it just seems to be the latest chapter. Basically, what we have is a little more ‘evidence” (and I do use that term loosely) that suggests the next-generation iPod touch will feature a camera. The latest is coming in the form of leaked cases that show a hole for a camera lens on the top center of the back of the iPod touch.
According to the details;
“The Chinese case manufactures learned of the new iPods’ precise dimensions in May, the emails reveal. But to be sure, the case makers say they double checked the dimensions. They are now so certain of their intelligence, they are redying factory molds to have the cases available for when the iPods ship.”
There is a complete gallery of images over at Cult Of Mac, which says to me that someone either has plenty of extra time on their hands, or that these cases are letting us know that a camera-equipped iPod touch is on its way.
Personally, I am hoping to see the camera get added to the touch. Hopefully, assuming this is accurate, we will see an announcement come this September.
