Earlier this week, PocketGamer received an email that tipped them off to the possibility that Valve’s award-winning game “Portal” may be coming to the iPhone.

PocketGamer wrote,

“It seems a few adventurous coders decided to test the iPhone waters by putting together a clone of Valve’s smash hit puzzle game Portal – with quite impressive results.”

The following video shows what appears to be Portal on the iPhone, but I must say, something looks off. If you look closely, many of the actions taking place on-screen don’t match up with the user’s finger motions.

Video aside, we must ask ourselves, “is the iPhone in fact capable of playing such a graphic-intensive game, even a scaled down version?” Having thoroughly played Portal myself, I get quite excited at even the prospect of having Portal in my pocket wherever I go. Unfortunately, it’s looking more and more as if the cake may in fact be a lie.
