I’m sorry, but this is way cool!!! I would love an adapter like that!!! I may be crazy, but I’m all about pushing the iPhone to it’s maximum limits… The possibilities of this little machine just seem endless…

He’s mentioning bandwidth issues are the main reason they are not in the store yet. But they are accessing live data from the camera, which there is no documented API for yet. Currently Apple handles recording video and applications only are able to access the completed movie. So unless they are taking screenshots 15 times a second to record the camera view on screen, they have another problem (accessing non documented API’s is not allowed).

I don’t really see the point of using a device like that for recording video. The whole point of using your iPhone for video is that you can capture something when you don’t have your regular camera with you. If you’re going to carry around some big device that connects to your iPhone, you might as well just use a camcorder.
