Ya, their e-mails have been bouncing back and they seem to have given up. Too bad as I liked this app very much. I wonder how the guys who are still on the Tiverias web page as board/advisors like having their name associated with a failed app. Why don't they just fix it?

it is broken, and it will not get fixed…. dont waste your money on this app, I did and regret it

I was getting that same error message (I am also using IMAP), I deleted the app from my iPhone and just re-installed it. After that it seems to be good to go.

Not sure if you already tried that, but hopefully it will work for you. I have been checking the Twitter account for the app (@GPush4iPhone) and have been seeing plenty of good working reports.

I’m getting, “your credentials were refused by Gmail, or the server experienced an error. Please resubmit.” error. What gives? I’m using imap. Would that be an issue?

For me it is not always the need to see my email as it comes in, but instead I have turned the mail checking on my iPhone to Manual. The GPush app lets me know when I have a message and I can go check it if I want to, this way I have no need for my iPhone to keep checking and draining my battery.

I guess I don’t see the need. I have mine check for mail and it notifies me when I have new mail. Sure it’s only every 15 min but do you really need to know the second something comes in? If so sit there with your phone and keep hitting the reload button.
Especially at the price. I can wait 15 min.

I have looked at NuevaSync and it seems to be a good option, but it is more than I need. I really am looking for push notifications on my Gmail.

I already have MobileMe for my contacts and calendar and really like that setup. Ideally a GPush for multiple accounts, and one that works consistently is what I need.

It is nice to have so many alternatives to choose from though. As far as PushMail, I have looked at that service, but have not purchased the app. I may try it in the future, but for now my Growl/Prowl setup seems to be working.

Pushmail works great with multiple accounts.

I used nuevasync for a while and while the mail push worked, the calendar and contacts functions were not as good as the free exchange sync direct from google. Lots of problems and slow as molasses. So I closed my account and went back to google exchange sync for calendar and contacts and regular gmail without push.

Anyway, GPush is having alot of problems on its second try out the door. Over the past 24 hours push has been up and down numerous times. And it almost never clears the badge on the app once you read your mail. So I would hold off on buying this app until they have all their ‘new’ problems resolved.

Why not use iPhone’s native Exchange push ability with something like NuevaSync?
