Qik gets updated, now slightly less crippled it allows for 3G video uploads

With no real way to tell if this update is just a coincidence in timing with all of this recent FCC information, the Qik app has just been updated and is now slightly less crippled.

The update, which brings Qik up to version 3.98 now allows for uploading of video using a 3G connection. In other words, they have removed the Wi-Fi only restriction in terms of uploading.

Of course, I do say slightly less crippled because the app still is not able to live stream video, which is what Qik is really known for. Of course the nice part here is that this will hopefully just be the first of many apps that will be allowed to fully work. While I am not counting on it happening anytime soon, this does appear to open a door for Sling.
