With a short and simple press release, AT&T has officially announced that September 25 will be the day MMS messaging becomes available for iPhone 3G and 3GS users.
We know many of our iPhone customers are eager for an update on our rollout schedule for Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). We’ve been working for the past several months to prepare our systems and network to ensure the best possible experience with MMS when it launches – and that launch date is: September 25 for iPhone 3G and 3GS customers. MMS will be enabled through a software update on that day.
And yes, just as a reminder for those still sporting the original iPhone, AT&T will not be making MMS messaging available for you.
Now that we have an MMS date, lets hope they announce something in regards to tethering soon.

Hahahahaa!!! I can’t BELIEVE their actually putting MMS out on SEPT.25TH!!! THAT’S TECHNICALLY *AFTER* LATE SUMMER (fall starts Sept.22nd)!!! FAKE ADVERTISING, PPL WANTING OUT OF THEIR CONTRACTS WITH NO ETF FEE, ETC. I CAN HEAR THE LAWSUITS NOW!!! LOL!!

Really AT&T your damn lightyears late you better get a grasp on the all the features you claim to say your going to put out and those features some what always arrive years down the road Apple will expand with the Iphone Verizon’s in the back door!!

It better be the 25th….I’ve been waiting too long for this. This is the only reason I upgraded to the 3GS and decided to pay $10 more on my bill….

Nice….real nice..i had no idea the iphone could not send mms before i purchased it. I though hey…top of the line phone..at&t..apple..it was a shock..but sept 25th is going to be a good day…hopefully..
also my friend hooked my iphone up some how..because i can tether…like real tether..bluetooth or usb..its so sweet…
wish i could tell you how..in like 5 min..he had it on the phone and running…no probs..or anything…
