Heli Rescue Game Review

Remember those movies with the courageous helicopter rescue teams that saved countless people from near death situations? Well have you ever imagined being part of a team such as that? Whether you have or haven’t it’s on your mind now. Well if you want to get behind the controls of a Sikorsky S-61N II or any other type of rescue chopper then I have a recommendation for you. But Heli Rescue for your iPhone or iTouch.

Heli Rescue’s gameplay isn’t exactly unique. It’s built on the popular game styling of line drawing to move object. What you do is send certain helicopters to certain survivors then to a certain helipad. You do this by drawing a line from the correct helicopter to the survivor and once they’re aboard draw a line to the correct helipad. The first few levels are easy and you feel like a real hero. But as you move higher in levels things start to get tricky. Now you better start keeping track of each birds fuel, occupancy, and speed if you want to control the skies. Make a wrong move and you’ll send two choppers spiraling into each other.

The game play takes a little while to get used to, but overall if you’ve played games like it before you’ll get it. The graphics are very well done, but sometimes the clouds get in the way and are distracting. The biggest problem I had was actually finding survivors. Once you get up to the higher levels you start to forget and not see survivors and it can become frustrating. But just remember, it’s only virtual lives at stake. I would recommend the game for just about anyone. For the small price of just $.99 it’s definitely worth picking up and having some fun with.

Verdict: 4/5 Stars
