Chances are that at one point in your life you’ve dreamed of, or at least thought about what it would be like to be an astronaut. You could soar through the stars, whiz by planets, and have epic space battles with hostile aliens. Everyone around the world would know your name. And not to mention the feeling of zero gravity. Well there’s good and bad news. The good news is you can now become an astronaut and you can skip Space School altogether. All you need it your iPhone or iTouch. The bad news is, you don’t get to do all the fabulous things mentioned above. But if you’re still interested in the Final Frontier, then check out Lost in Space from Agens AS.
Lost in Space is a game that is designed around a simple, easy to follow plot. You’re an astronaut who’s lost in space. How you came to be in such a dilemma I don’t know. What I do know is the only apparent way to get home is by jumping higher and higher from asteroid to asteroid. You start out easy enough, your little space dude hanging out ready to leap to victory. But as you start to progress the asteroids get smaller and fewer. Remember to check out the background while going through this game, you’ll notice the different planets and other celestial images passing by.
You get points the higher you go, which are kept at the top right corner of the screen. The ultimate goal is self explanatory, get as much points as possible. You have the opportunity to show off your skills by postings your total points on a public scoreboard the entire world can see. Maybe with any luck you’ll get a call from NASA.
As far as the technical specs go for this game, they’re all good but not great. The graphics are smooth and fun and I feel appropriate for the gaming style. The controls for this game, use the accelerometer to jump left or right, are fun and addicting. If you played this game with just button then it would get old fast.
This is a fun game to play, but I can’t imagine playing it for more than 15 minutes occasionally. However, it is a great game to challenge friends to. Just pass and play to see who gets the high score. For the small price of just $1.99 it’s definitely worth picking up and it’s a great app to use to pass time.
Verdict: 4/5 Stars
